The Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC students, administered by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, extends financial support to Other Backward Classes students from primary school through Class 10. Eligibility Criteria

• Must belong to a community listed in the central OBC list
• Enrolled in Class 1 to Class 10 at a recognised school
• Annual family income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh
• Not availing any other pre-matric scholarship from central government
• Must be an Indian citizen residing in India

How Much You Get

This scheme provides Up to ₹750/month to eligible students. Income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh/year from all sources, as certified by a competent authority. Scholarship money is disbursed directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account via PFMS — no institution or intermediary handles the funds.
