Built on the belief that every child deserves a chance
Mahadev Maitri Foundation was established by Varsha Arora and Nidhesh Dhawan with a clear-eyed understanding of a crisis unfolding in plain sight: young children in rural India were being left behind before they even started.
Government schools, stretched thin and focused on older students, often had little left for the youngest learners. Without strong early foundations, millions of children entered primary school already disadvantaged — a gap that only widened over time.
We started in Gurgaon, Haryana, with a mission to bridge this critical gap — providing affordable, high-quality early education that fosters not just academic growth, but emotional and social development too.
Our work extends to Neemrana, Rajasthan, where we are building a new preschool and running programs that uplift entire communities — from children to mothers to young professionals.

Varsha Arora
Varsha brings a deep passion for early childhood education and community development. Her vision for accessible, quality education in rural India is the driving force behind Mahadev Maitri Foundation's programs and outreach.
Nidhesh Dhawan
Nidhesh combines strategic thinking with on-ground execution to build sustainable programs. His commitment to systemic change and women's empowerment shapes the Foundation's approach to community transformation.
