India's industrial growth belt. Zero preschools for the children living in it.
The Gurugram–Neemrana–Alwar stretch of NH48 is one of the most economically dynamic corridors in North India. It hosts hundreds of multinational companies, a Japanese Industrial Township, and some of India's most sophisticated manufacturing. Yet the villages adjacent to these facilities have preschools that exist in name only — understaffed Anganwadis serving 40+ children with one worker and no curriculum.
Mahadev Maitri Foundation was born from this paradox. Our headquarters in Gurugram and our field programs in Neemrana are a deliberate choice: to sit in the middle of this corridor and build the education infrastructure that decades of industrial growth never brought.
Teacher training. Stationery drives. A preschool being built from the ground up in Neemrana. Three programs, one corridor, one mission: that no child's future should be limited by their postal code.
Three pillars of school development — built for the long run.
Each program is designed for sustainability and replication across the North India corridor.
Teacher Capacity Building
We run structured workshops for local teachers — not one-off sessions, but skill-building programs on child-centred pedagogy, literacy instruction, and classroom management. A trained teacher is the infrastructure that doesn't depreciate: skills stay for a lifetime.
See initiatives →Learning Materials Access
We provide complete stationery kits, reading cards, and age-appropriate books to children who cannot otherwise afford them. Access to materials is foundational — no reading programme works without books. We document every distribution.
Support a student →Preschool Infrastructure (In Development)
We are building a play-based preschool in Neemrana for children aged 3–6 — the age group that North India's village school development has historically ignored entirely. NEP 2020 aligned, community engaged, sustainably funded. Opening when ready, not when convenient.
