A town on India's fastest highway, left behind on education.
Neemrana sits on NH-48 โ the Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor โ and is surrounded by gleaming factories and logistics parks. Economic activity has exploded here. But drive a few kilometres into the residential areas, and you find low-income families where children grow up with virtually no educational support before Class 1.
Industrial growth does not automatically translate into educational access for the workers who make it possible. The families building India's industrial backbone โ working in factories, driving trucks, managing warehouses โ often cannot afford or access quality early education for their children.
MMF chose Neemrana deliberately. Because the need is acute. Because the community is receptive. And because proximity to economic activity means that with the right support, families here can break the cycle of educational poverty within a generation.
Four programs in Neemrana
Each initiative addresses a specific need in the village education ecosystem โ designed to work together, not in isolation. The preschool is in active development; the others are already underway.
