Support Early Childhood Education
in Rural India

85% of a child's brain develops before age 6. In rural Rajasthan, most children have no structured early education. Your donation funds Mahadev Maitri Foundation's play-based preschool in Neemrana โ€” where the most critical learning happens.

The window is narrow. The impact is permanent.

Neuroscience is unambiguous: 85% of a child's foundational cognitive architecture is formed by age 6. The neural connections built in these early years โ€” for language, logic, empathy, and self-regulation โ€” determine how well children learn for the rest of their lives.

Yet in rural India, structured early childhood education is virtually non-existent. Anganwadis focus on nutrition. Government schools begin at age 6. The 3โ€“6 year window โ€” the single most critical period in human development โ€” is left largely unaddressed.

MMF's Neemrana preschool will fill this gap. Children will gather for songs, stories, structured play, and age-appropriate numeracy. They will learn to hold a pencil, count, listen, and most importantly โ€” to love learning. That habit, once formed, lasts a lifetime. We are raising the funds to make this a reality now.

What a child's day will look like at our preschool

Structure, warmth, and joy โ€” the three ingredients every early learner needs.

๐ŸŽต

Morning Circle & Songs

Every day begins with a morning circle โ€” songs in Hindi, counting rhymes, and a short story. This routine builds listening skills, vocabulary, and the social habit of paying attention in a group. Children who feel safe in a circle learn to speak up in one.

Structured Learning Activities

Guided activities build pre-reading skills (letter recognition, phonological awareness), early numeracy (counting, patterns, sorting), and fine motor skills through drawing, colouring, and craft. Each session is designed to feel like play โ€” because for a 4-year-old, play is learning.

๐Ÿฑ

Nutrition & Health Monitoring

Children cannot learn on empty stomachs. We provide daily nutritious meals and monitor each child's height, weight, and health indicators. We also flag any signs of developmental delay so families can seek timely support. A healthy child is a ready learner.
