Infrastructure opens a preschool. Operations keep it alive.
India has thousands of school buildings that are not schools. They were built with capital donations, inaugurated, and then quietly deteriorated as operational funding ran out — teachers left for non-payment, materials were not replenished, children stopped coming. MMF has seen this failure mode up close.
The Neemrana preschool will not follow that path. Operations funding is raised in parallel with infrastructure funding — not as an afterthought. Before we open the doors, we need committed annual support that makes teacher payroll, nutrition, and material replenishment predictable. That predictability is what separates a school that works from one that doesn't.
₹6.45 lakh funds one year. That is ₹25,800 per child — the total cost of an entire year of quality early education for one child, inclusive of teacher time, nutrition, materials, and overhead. In India's urban private preschool market, that would buy two months.
Four pillars. All funded together by annual operations support.
Operations funding is what makes all the individual components work as one integrated, functioning preschool.
Teacher Salaries
₹2,16,000 per year for two educators. This is the largest operational line item — and the most important. A paid teacher shows up. An underpaid or volunteer teacher does not.
Fund teacher salary →Nutrition Programme
₹2,40,000 per year feeds 25 children one warm meal on every school day. The nutrition component is non-negotiable — it directly determines attendance and learning outcomes.
Fund nutrition →Materials & Stationery
₹1,05,000 per year covers 3 terms of stationery kits plus books and flashcard replenishments. The operational materials budget keeps classrooms supplied continuously without emergency procurement.
Fund materials →Fund a month, a term, or a full year.
